The City of Plantation has Ordinances that all guests, residents, and businesses must follow. Residents includes homeowners, their family within the residence, and all occupants of single and multi-use rental properties. Businesses includes property owners or tenants renting or leasing commercial space. Guests includes anyone within the City of Plantation jurisdiction.

92.17 (6) Trees and shrubbery obstructing streets, sidewalks and drainage. The growing and maintenance of trees or shrubbery that in any way interferes with the use, construction or maintenance of streets or sidewalks, causes injury to streets or sidewalks or constitutes an obstruction to drainage.
What else should I know?
Leaves left in yards accumulate in drainage areas.
It is the homeowner/resident’s responsibility to keep these drainage areas free from debris.
MSD does NOT clear clogged drainage areas on residential streets.
The City may issue citations for any violation of these Ordinances.
The City may contract to correct the violations after sufficient notice and add those costs to a fine as a penalty for violation of any of the above Ordinances.
